Celebrates individuals or organizations who have successfully fostered innovation, collaboration, and partnership in the community.

Arizona Citizens for the Arts
Arts Champion Creative Excellence Awards

Recognizes an elected official who has been a champion for the creative economy. Specifically, they are someone who has consistently advocated for, supported, and advanced arts and culture within their community or jurisdiction. They may have taken one or more actions to support arts and culture such as advocacy, policy development, funding support, or community engagement.
Deadline: August 14, 2023

Arizona Preservation Foundation and the State Historic Preservation Office/Arizona State Parks & Trails
Governor’s Heritage Preservation Honor Awards

Given to individuals, businesses, organizations, and/or projects in recognition of outstanding achievements in preserving Arizona’s prehistoric and historic heritage resources.
Deadline: August 25, 2023

Phoenix Center for the Arts
Mayor's Arts Awards

Nominees must be an artist or arts organization based in Phoenix.  The four awards are Dr. Eugene Grigsby Visual Artist Award; Jerry Lawson Memorial Performing Artist Award; Lou and Evelyn Grubb Community Innovator Award; and Lifetime Achievement Award Visual Arts
Deadline: August 31, 2023

Costume Society of America
Richard Martin Exhibition Awards

Recognizes outstanding costume exhibitions presented by both small and large institutions. Up to two awards are given annually to exhibitions of differing sizes and funding.
Deadline: October 15, 2023

National Council on Public History
Robert Kelley Memorial Award:
$500 award honors distinguished achievements by individuals, institutions, or nonprofit or corporate entities for making history relevant to individual lives of ordinary people outside of academia.
Excellence in Consulting Award: Up to two $500 awards for outstanding work and contributions by consultants or contractors.
Outstanding Public History Project Award: Two $750 prizes recognizing projects—digital, print, film, exhibit, etc.—that contribute to a broader public reflection and appreciation of the past or that serve as a model of professional public history practice. One prize will go to a larger institution (roughly 6 or more paid staff) and the other to a smaller institution.
New Professional Award: Two $500 travel grants to enable new professionals, practicing public history for no more than three years, to attend NCPH 2024.
Student Project Award: A $500 travel grant to attend NCPH 2024, recognizing the contributions of student work to the field of public history.
Graduate Student Travel Award: Five travel grants of up to $300 each for graduate students presenting (session, poster session, or working group) at NCPH 2024.
