American Association for State and Local History
Offers in-person workshops and online webinars and courses.  
Workshops are one to two day in-person training events. Between 10 and 12 classes are offered every year in various locations around the country. Each workshop offers participants a chance to engage in intensive learning and discussion with faculty and classmates.
Webinars are online discussions, typically lasting 75 to 90 minutes including a Q&A session. During each live webinar, you can use the chat section to type messages and questions to the speaker and other participants. After each webinar, a recording is sent to participants to save and re-watch whenever you want.  
Online Courses are typically between four to six weeks long. They offer each student a chance to engage deeply with subject material over an extended period of time, all at their own pace. Keep on track with regular chats and other interactions with accessible faculty, and discuss the course material with classmates in online forums. Course topics range from archives and collections, to exhibitions and museum education.

ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation
Provides degree and certificate programs, along with individual courses on nonprofit management, including grant-writing, through its Nonprofit Management Institute (NMI).

Museum Study 
Provides online professional development through online courses on a broad range of topics important to running a cultural institution including; Administration, Exhibits & Public Programming, Facilities Management, Collection Management, and Collection Preservation & Care.

Connecting to Collections Care Online Community 
Helps smaller cultural institutions to provide well-informed care for their valuable collections. All content in the C2C Care Community, with the exception of special courses, is provided for FREE. This service is a program of the Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation of Artistic and Historic Works and is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Specializes in online preservation courses and topics related to preservation and collections care for librarians, archivists, museum professionals, and related fields. 

Network for Good
Offers fund-raising tools for small non-profits, with many free resources, including webinars and online courses, as well as guides and templates.

Northern States Conservation Center
Provides professional online continuing education in museum studies, primarily about collections management and conservation.   

Grant Station
Webinars on obtaining grants including from writing proposals to creating business plans.

National Preservation Institute 
Offers continuing education and professional training for those involved in the management, preservation, and stewardship of cultural heritage. NPI serves a broad spectrum of individuals and groups from the government and private sectors by providing seminars in historic preservation and cultural resource management.

LYRASIS  
Partners with member libraries, archives and museums and other cultural heritage organizations to create, access and manage information with an emphasis on digital content, while building and sustaining collaboration, enhancing operations and technology, and increasing buying power.

University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Centre for Cultural Planning and Development
Courses and workshops in cultural planning and development, ranging from strategic planning to cultural tourism.

Heritage Interpretation Training Center
Offers college level heritage interpretation courses, from basic introductory courses to advanced interpretive training for researchers, managers and curators.  Also offers group training courses and seminars.   

ASU Online
Provides online education including undergraduate, graduate, certificate and non-degree courses.

MuseumDev
MuseumDev offers 4-week courses for museum professionals taught by subject experts with specialized skills and practical experience. Asynchronous courses allow participants to finish readings, participate in discussion forums, and complete class assignments on their own schedule.
