Building Public Value for the Arts in Arizona: Advocacy, Promotion and Audience Engagement

A publication of the Arizona Commission on the Arts  designed to help artists, arts organizations and schools effectively communicate the value of their work and the importance of public funding for the arts with elected officials, community leaders, parents, donors, school board members and the public.    Can be downloaded for free.   Print copies are also available from the Commission.


American Alliance of Museums  

The American Association of Museum's Advocacy webpages includes advocacy alerts, policy issues and how to "advocate from anywhere".


Americans for the Arts

Americans for the Arts serves, advances and leads the network of organizations and individuals who cultivate, promote, sustain, and support the arts in America.


National Humanities Alliance

The NHA advocates for the humanities on the national, state, and local levels. Member organizations receive legislative updates, advocacy training, and key information on the impact of humanities funding. These resources allow them to mobilize their constituencies to become effective advocates.

Arizona Preservation Foundation Take Action
The Arizona Preservation Foundation partners with numerous local, state, and national preservation organizations, agencies, and advocates to keep tabs on key issues and threatened properties throughout the state.
